Protest in uniport over hike in fees

There is a protest going on now in the University of Port Harcourt Choba, carried out by returning and new students of the institution. News reaching us indicates that the students are protesting because of increase in their fees. The fees were increased from #24000 and #51000 to #59000 and #150000 for both returning and new students repectively. The students are said to be carrying different placards wit different inscription on it. Right now, men of the Nigerian Police are stationed at the gates to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
