S’West people won’t forget Buhari’s regime –Don

Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)
Foremost Nigerian industrialist and academic, Prof. Dupe Olatunbosun, said on Friday that the people of the South-West would not forget the dark days of military rule when their leaders were tortured and hauled in detention for doing no wrong.
While addressing a youth summit in Akure on the national conference report, Olatunbosun said repressive military regime of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as the head of state which witnessed injustice and violation of human rights were enough to keep the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate away from the Presidency.
The anti-press laws and retroactive decrees made by Buhari while in power as the head of state resulted in the unlawful detention and killing of innocent Nigerians.
According to him, Buhari’s claim that he is not rich is a lie because he has contested presidential elections three times and has been flying on hired aircraft across the country. Olatunbosun said, “No poor man can contest even the local government elections three times in Nigeria.
“He was Head of State, Minister of Petroleum and Chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund and yet he claims that he is poor; that is a lie.”
Olatunbosun, however, urged the youths to ignore the APC and its presidential candidate because they have nothing to offer the country.
