Gunmen breaks into INEC office, made away with 6,000 PVC cards in Delta State

According to Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Delta Police Command, Gunmen have broken into the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office at Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta State, and made away with 6,000 permanent voters cards (PVCs) and registers.
DSP Celestina Kalu, PPRO who confirmed the incident, said the police swung into action and arrested three of the security guards, Aherebe Godday, Omajemite Justice and Oyubu Ejiro for interrogation.
She disclosed that the stolen PVCs had been recovered, but did not give details.
Her words, “The stolen PVCs have been recovered and a total of seven thousand three hundred and sixty five (7,365) were seen.”
“Similarly, detectives in a follow-up investigation arrested one Lucky Aputu ’m’, aged 46yrs of Oji Aputu compound, Onyobulu inland market Road, Oghara and recovered one of the stolen INEC registers from him.”
She said, “Investigation is in progress; while efforts are on to ensure that all those involved in the crime are rounded up. The PVCs have since been handed over to INEC
