Apparently, D’banj isn’t the only one getting an open letter from a fan, Wizkid just got one too.
Sadly, unlike D’banj’s that his efforts were been commended, this Wizkid fan totally tore the Star-Boy boss apart in this open letter.

I have been monitoring Wizkid’s moves since he finally got his wish of leaving the recording company that made him, EME, and so far saying i am disappointed is an understatement.
Many of us have forgiven the 24 year old star for releasing a mediocre album, for his standard, but two things we cannot forgive him for are 1) putting in mediocre work into promoting the album and 2) for reducing the quality on his music out of nonchalance.

Wizkid almost didn’t promote the AYO album because after-all, it was his get out of jail clause from EME. But since getting out of jail, that is, leaving EME, Wizkid’s projects have resembled that of an upcoming artiste.
ALL the videos he has released under his Starboy imprint are below standard, even for a hungry artiste who wants to make it big in the game.
The video for Show You The Money was OK, but since it is about money that was a poor video. The Video of In My bed is ridiculous. Wizkid knows this, exactly why he said the video is not a video after he released it, he said it was a “party” and that “he was having fun”. Wizkid you are a top artiste… no games, no fun, just quality.
After releasing In My Bed, Wizkid abandoned AYO album for months, he kick-started Starboy Mondays. He went on to release 2 mediocre singles and 3 below par videos.
Wonder is a 4/10 song at best, while Sound It is a 3/10 song if you want to be forgiving. The videos for the two songs are not Wizkid standard. What a drop in quality.
After this he returned to AYO again, who does this? Only Wizkid. A man who is unsigned, makes all the decisions for himself – safe to say a man without a proper plan or company structure. His fans expected big things from Ojuelegba, once again Wizkid failed, maybe that was a little bit harsh. Wizkid failed to deliver. He released a 1/10 video for arguably the best song on his AYO album.
At this point it looks as if Ibrahim Balogun just wakes up from bed, shouts on the microphone and releases it.
He’s also announced an official single for next month, if i were you, i will look forward to another disappointment from the hugely talented artiste, for now.
What can Ayo Balogun do better? He needs to have a team. He needs to strategize again, more so, he needs a thinkerman. Banky W does this job for him back in the day. Wizkid, you need to control the quality of your music. You can’t continue to release mediocre songs, you can do better. Make your fans thirst for your music.

Obanikoro insists Buhari was stoned at Lagos Rally

Immediate past Minister of State for Defence and former PDP Lagos gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro on Friday chided the All Progressives Congress (APC) over denials that its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari was stoned in Lagos while making his way to the APC Lagos presidential rally.
Senator Obanikoro had condemned the stoning of General Muhammadu Buhari in Lagos on Friday after the news of his stoning broke via online news media platforms and went viral across the social media.
The APC on Friday through its spokesperson, Lai Mohammed denied the report stating that General Buhari was not stoned but rather received cheers from bystanders.
However, Senator Obanikoro in a statement on Friday issued by Ohimai Amaize, his Special Adviser on Media Strategy, noted that the APC’s denial of Buhari’s stoning in Lagos was not only pointless and futile but also does not give the APC any advantage.
“When things go wrong, we must acknowledge and condemn it in order to forestall any future occurrences.
“Senator Obanikoro, based on eyewitness accounts is aware of the stoning incident at Idumagbo area of Isale-Eko, Lagos State and the fact that a woman was injured in the ensuing fracas after General Buhari’s security detail had to shoot into the air to dispel the irate mob”, the statement noted.

Buhari Backs Out Of BON Presidential Debate – APC Releases Official Statement

Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will not be featuring in the presidential debate

organised by the Broadcast Organisation of Nigeria (BON).

According Garba Shehu, directorate of media and publicity of the APC presidential campaign organisation, the boycott is due to the
“unhidden bias and campaign of calumny by some key organisers of the programme, against the corporate political interest of the party (APC) and its candidates”.
cable.ng reports that, Shehu argued that the Nigeria Election Debate Group
(NEDG) powered debate was fraught with fundamental errors from the outset, by wearing the toga of government control, especially being composed mainly of agencies and allies of the incumbent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration.

“A salutary inspection of the composition of NEGD brings into focus the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), National Television Authority (NTA), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Africa Independent Television (AIT, owned by a PDP chieftain),” he said.“And going by the avalanche of inflammatory statements, misinformation and blatant lies being propagated by some of these media against our party and candidates contrary to the Koffi Annan-brokered Abuja Peace Accord, and the

failure of these aggressors to desist and apologise, have left

the APC campaign with no option than to steer clear of any premeditated smear campaign that could be inimical to our prospective electoral success.”

He urged the public not to see the APc boycott as disrespect for Nigerian voters or an alibi for the party to dodge public scrutiny, but to view it as an honourable right not to consent to any activity that could distract, demean, denigrate or derail the fast-moving train of the party.
He described APC as a party of progressive intellectuals, genuine technocrats, successful businessmen and women, and most of all eminent and courteous people of honour who would never condescend to the level of sadistic gutter propaganda, all in the name of political exigency and crass opportunism.
He also noted that many government-controlled media have clipped the wings of APC promotional advertisementson one excuse on the other, and until a court upturned their decision recently, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) shut down some telecom portals for soliciting legitimate campaign funds from members of the public for APC.

“Aside, elements close to sitting President Goodluck Jonathan have commissioned series of derogatory and death threat advertorials against the person, family and
associates of the opposition leader, General Muhammadu Buhari, to which the APC had sent letters of complaint to the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of State Security, Advertisers Practitioners of Nigeria (APCON), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the erring media that published or aired such offensive adverts or documentaries,” he said.
“None of our letters of protest has been attended to by the authorities. So whatever the incumbent president wants to do with the instrument of state to harass members of the opposition into humiliating submission would not work. The APC/Buhari campaign is now a people’s movement. The more they try to rubbish it, the more popular we are with the populace.
“We are not shadow-chasers or moonwalkers. The APC is concerned mainly with the lack of unity andsecurity in Nigeria; plus the growing decimation of lives, property and territory of our great country due to preventable insurgency; the slumbering economy; decaying educational system; absence of jobs; poor public health; and the cancerous institutionalisation of corruption in our national life. You can’t fool the people all the time. Nigerians will vote out their oppressors come February 14.”

All Presidential Candidates Have My Blessing – IBB

Former military president, Gen Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has cleared the air on his preferred candidate in the forth-coming presidential election saying that he endorses all the candidates.
Babangida made this known yesterday in a CHANNELS Television talk show programme, Straight Talk where he said all the candidates have shown passion for the unity of the country.
Asked by the programme presenter, Kadaria Ahmed if he actually endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as was reported in the media, Babangida said he actually alluded to it. “I did allude to that, I said I found him as someone who has a very strong belief about the unity of this country.
“Those of us who fought the civil war, I still carry a bullet here as a permanent reminder in me, anything that talks about Nigeria’s unity, I get impassioned about it. So what I said is that the president believes in the unity of this country and any other person who believes in the unity of this country should support the president to keep the country one.
“Well, as far as 2015 is concerned all the presidential candidates, 14 of them have my blessing. The only difference, I did mention it, is that, I have not been able to read what they have to offer to this country and I am going to do that. Whoever offers what I was looking forward to I will cast my vote,” IBB said
The former military leader also spoke about his immediate successor, Late Gen Sani Abacha saying that it never crossed his mind that Abacha was going to seize power from the leader of the then interim government headed by the Chief Ernest Shokekan.
“It never crossed my mind that Abacha would overthrow the interim government, quite honestly, it never did. When he executed the coup, it didn’t come to me as a surprise because all of you in this country gave him the wherewithal to do it. A coup always succeeds if there was a frustration in the society and that frustration was orchestrated.
“I governed for eight years using decree, that interim government was given a constitution and that constitution was supported by a law. So, as far as I’m concerned, it was not illegitimate. It was legitimately done as it’s done in military government all over the world,” he said.
He called on Nigerians and Muslims to stand up and fight against Boko Haram, saying that the group was out to soil the Muslim religion. “Nigerians have to mobilise against the Boko Haram and that will make it easy to winning the war,” he said.
Asked about allegation that he was responsible for the gruesome murder of media guru, Mr Dele Giwa levelled by his former aide, IBB said he does not join issues with his subordinates on any issue.
He noted that he did not regret anything he did during his regime but averred that if there was anything he would have done differently would have been to insert the two party system into the Nigerian constitution.

Finance Minister Okonjo-Iweala Claps Back at Soludo | Calls Him an “Embittered Loser”

Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is not happy about former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Charles Soludo’s article in which he declared that President Jonathan and APC presidential aspirant Muhammadu Buhari are both incapable of handling the country’s economy.

Okonjo-Iweala has expressed her displeasure by penning a response to Soludo’s article, in which she calls him an embittered loser in Nigeria’s political arena and dismisses all the criticisms he made about Jonathan’s administration.

Here are excerpts from her response, titled Beyond Belief: Soludo’s Self-Serving Article on Economic Management is Deficit in Facts, Logic, and Honour:

For anyone who has not read Professor Charles Soludo’s article on January 25 2015, I would encourage them to do so. It is littered with abusive and unbecoming language. It shows how an embittered loser in the Nigerian political space can get so derailed that they commit intellectual harakiri by deliberately misquoting economic facts and maliciously turning statistics on their head to justify a hatchet job.
We hope all the intellectuals in the international circles, in which Professor Soludo has told us he flies around in, will read what a Professor of Economics has chosen to do with his intellect.
In this one article, Soludo has shamelessly pandered to so many past leaders that Nigerians are asking one more time – what position is Soludo gunning for now? He claims in his article that he has had his own share of public service, yet he has failed twice in his attempts to be Governor of Anambra State and Vice Presidential candidate of various parties. There is definitely an issue of character with Prof. Charles Soludo and his desperate search for power and relevance in Nigeria. Nigerians should therefore beware of so-called intellectuals without character and wisdom because this combination is fatal.
But let us turn to the main subject of Soludo’s discourse. So much of what is written is outright nonsense and self-seeking aggrandizement that need not be dignified with a response. It is totally remarkable that Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the man who presided over the worst mismanagement of Nigeria’s banking sector as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria between May 2004 and May 2009, can write about the mismanagement of the economy.
Nigerians must be reminded of his antecedents as CBN Governor, and even prior to that, as the Chief Economic Adviser to the President.
The consolidation of the banking sector was a good policy idea of the Obasanjo Administration, but Soludo went on to thoroughly mismanage its implementation leading to the worst financial crisis in Nigeria’s history. So what did Soludo do?
After consolidation, the regulatory functions of the Soludo-led CBN were very poorly exercised. As Governor, he failed to adequately supervise and regulate the now larger banks – an anomaly in Financial Sector Supervision.
In fact as every Nigerian knows, in his time there was very little separation between the regulators and the regulated, which is a violation of a key requirement of Central Banking success. This led to infractions in corporate governance in many banks as loans and other credit instruments running to hundreds of billions of naira were extended to clients without following due process, and several of these loans could not be paid back. This massive accumulation of bad debts, or non-performing loans as they are called in the banking sector, meant that our banks were ill-positioned to deal with the global financial crisis when it hit.
In fact, the banking sector was brought to its knees and required a massive bailout by Nigerian tax payers.
This bailout was done by his successor (now Emir of Kano), who cleaned up all the bad debts and transferred them to the newly-established AMCON (Asset Management Company of Nigeria), from where they are managed today.
So let it be noted for the record books that Soludo’s single-handed mismanagement of the banking sector led to an incredible accumulation of liabilities that will cost tax payers about N5.67 trillion (being the total face value of AMCON-issued bonds) to clean up.
Let it be noted also that this amount, which is more than the entire Federal Government 2015 Budget, constitutes the bulk of Nigeria’s “contingent liabilities” mentioned in Soludo’s article.
It is only in Nigeria where someone who perpetrated such a colossal economic atrocity would have the temerity to make assertions on public debt and the management of the economy.
Let us now look at some of the points he makes. Luckily, Soludo has told us that he has been busy travelling internationally, hobnobbing with his global partners.
It is obvious from this article that from the rarefied heights at which he is flying he is completely out of touch with what is happening with the management of this economy.
Take his comments on the mismanagement of the economy and the imposition of the austerity measures. The present fall in oil prices, a global phenomenon over which Nigeria has no control, has given every charlatan the opportunity to attack the economy, and by extension the managers of the economy…

Doyin Okupe offers to give N1 Million to any Nigerian that will list 10 achievements of Gen. Buhari

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Mr Doyin Okupe on Monday 26th of January, 2015 during his interview on Silverbird TV at a programme “Nigeria Decides” made a bold statement where he said “i will offer N1million to any Nigerian that will list 10 achievements of General Buhari in or out of office”
Okupe said since he made the call, not even one Nigerian has been able to win the money. Guys, i mean GMB’s supporters.. what’s your input? Over to you! Do not let the money goes free if you have the answer!

APC should let Buhari seek medicare abroad - Ayo Fayose

This Governor Ayo Fayose is so relentless...lol. Here's a press statement I just received. Read below...

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has pleaded with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC, especially former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu to be human enough to allow the party’s presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) embark on his planned medical trip abroad.

The governor said Buhari was being prevented from traveling abroad for medical treatment, despite his ill-health so as to avoid controversies.

Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka quoted Governor Fayose as saying at a campaign rally in Omuo Ekiti, Ekiti East Local Government that "Buhari is a car with a damaged engine but being packaged by Tinubu and his cabal whose only interest is the wealth of Nigeria."

He said; "In all the campaign rallies held by the APC,  Buhari never spoke for more than six minutes.

"Buhari will just utter some words that he had rehearsed and any attempt to bring in new words always result to confusion in his brain due to senility. That was the reason he called his running mate Osunbade instead of Osinbajo and also referred to Imo State as Ibo State.

"This is clear evidence of ill-health, old and and senility.  Those packaging Buhari to achieve their personal ambition of gaining unhindered access to the wealth of Nigeria  should fear God and allow this old man to take care of his health," the governor said.

Speaking further, Fayose, who insisted that "Buhari is old and sick said; "they had programmed Buhari to travel to the U.S on 26th of this month, but they opted out when the secret trip was reported in the media. 

"As a cover-up,  the APC cabal sold a story to the press that Buhari was invited to attend a programme in the US by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, (CSIS).

"Interestingly, the CSIS programme was billed for January 26, the same day Buhari was said to have planned his medical trip to the United States of America. 

"However, the programme was cancelled, leaving Buhari with no excuse to travel and instead of them to allow the man to travel as he had planned, the APC cabal, who are obviously more interested in the presidency than Buhari’s welfare are urging him on.

Phyno – “I’m Too Cool To Be A Gangsta”

9 Reasons Most Nigerian Ladies Don't Get Married

 Many African ladies will end up singles for life because of media exposure- it is so disheartening how a lady will glue her eyes on a mobile phone from morning to night, only to raise it up to focus on television to watch another celebrity entertainment channel. In the past, men rushed to marry to get certain things or privileges they had been constantly denied while being single. Such privileges include and not limited to: constant s*x and companionship, good food and tidied home, etc. But today, a single man gets even the best and of course more of constant s*x, good food and excellent home-keeping more than his married counterparts, so tell me how the hell you want him to desire to marry you when you have given him virtually everything he desires from a wife while being his girlfriend? And the most painful part of it all is that he knows that you are prepared to cut down on s*x supply, cooking, home-keeping, etc once he marries you, so why would he not want you to remain his girlfriend for life?

8. You Package Yourself Wrongly- in your attempt to look sexy, adorable and maybe appealing to guys, you have derailed from appealing to appalling. In fact you look more whorish than modest; more unattractive than attractive, and more disgusting than adorable. Your dressing style determines who gets attracted to you most times. If you dress high school, only high school-thinking guys will be attracted to you, and if you dress excessively sexy and provocative, only randy men will come to you for urgent satisfaction of their immediate s*x urge, so don’t be fooled by media hyping of certain kinds of dressing, they are meant for certain set of ladies you wouldn’t like to be associated with, be careful. Remember, not all clothes that look sexy are good for a seriously searching for a soul mate single lady.

‘I Wish I Was the Mother of All His Kids; the Seven of Them’ – Annie Idibia

In the latest issue of Motherhood In-Style magazine, Nollywood actress and wife to Nigerian entertainer 2face Idibia, Annie Idibia is the cover star 

With lovely editorial spreads with her daughters Isabella and Olivia, Annie Idibia talks to the magazine about her parents getting divorced, how it affected her, being married to 2face, his children from other women, her pregnancies and much more.

Annie Idibia’s feature in the magazine covers 13 pages and is very detailed about her life as a mother and wife.

Read excerpts from her interesting interview below:

On her parents divorcing when she was young: It affected us negatively. It was so hard on us then. It’s not an experience I would want my kids to have to go through because when you’re used to being with two people and suddenly, you’re caught between who you’re going to live with or mummy takes you and you are left wondering why daddy didn’t. It is so emotional.

On how it affected her: My mum is a very strong woman, she scaled through it…My mum was a full housewife when she was with my dad, but after the divorce she had to work to take care of her 4 kids, and we all had to do minor jobs to help out. Maybe if I didn’t go through that I wouldn’t understand the pains of divorce and how it would affect the children. At the same time, I’ve learnt that life is not a bed of roses. That experience has made me more focused and stronger. It’s made me the woman that I am and a better mother to my kids. Then, it makes me bent on ensuring that my marriage works too so my children won’t have to go through divorce and all the pains associated with it.

On being married to 2face Idibia: No, I’m married to Innocent, one of the most amazing men in the world. I want to believe our marriage is almost like every other marriage. He’s a good person a good dad, great husband, a wonderful brother-in-law and son-in-law, and he’s all that I thought he would be as a husband and more.

On the low and high points of their relationship: I think it would be the first time I heard that other people were having his baby, the second should be when we both sat down and agreed to end the relationship. We realized it couldn’t work and decided to break up. That was after I had Isabella. His proposal was a high point; the way he went about it was special. And my wedding! I didn’t think we were going to end up together, and that’s the honest truth.

On making changes: I wish I was the mother of all his kids; the seven of them. But they are my kids; I just wish I was their biological mum. They’re awesome; you can’t help but love them. Everything else has made everything better.

On how his other kids affect their marriage: I won’t say it’s easy, I will not lie to you. I mean, you have kids with people, are you going to be their enemy? You have to have at least some civil relationship with them; you have to be very civil but God has been very faithful, and it’s still God all the way because it’s really not easy. I do not regret being with my husband but I would not want my daughter to be married to a man that has kids with other women, naturally. You know, it doesn’t make me love him less or feel like I don’t want to be here, I’m happy that I’m here, I don’t love him less, but I would not wish that for my daughter because even if the man is in, how about the other parties involved? But then, like I said, it’s key to be civil.

On her pregnancy: I had CS for both kids. With Isabel it was good, it Olivia it was horrible. I was sick all through my second pregnancy, and it was difficult. With Isabel, it was easy.

BREAKING: Political thugs invade APC Gov Rally in Okrika, Rivers State

According to APC Chairman in Okrika Local Government Area, Political thugs, suspected to be working for the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, invaded the venue of the All Progressives Congress governorship rally in Okrika Local Government Area in early hours of Saturday, destroying equipment being set up for the exercise.

Mr. Christian Asifamaka, reported that the armed youths shot sporadically at about 3.45am at the venue of the party’s governorship campaign. You can recollect that Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Dame Patience, hails from Okrika.
Asifamaka said in a statement that the hoodlums threw dynamites into the National School Field venue of the rally in Okrika, destroyed the podium already set up for the programme and other facilities in the arena.

The pasting was done by the court bailiff on December 17, 2014 at about 1:35p.m, pursuant to order of court made on November 12, 2014 having been satisfied that the defendant was evading been served the notice. However with the on-going strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) which is over 2 weeks old now, the case may be adjourned if the strike is not called off before January 26, 2015, which is the hearing date….

Shocker! Nun Rushed To Hospital With Severe Stomach Pains Puts To Birth To A Baby Boy

A nun has stunned her mother superior and sisters after giving birth to a baby boy after complaining of severe stomach pains.The sister, who

belonged to an order in Macerata, in the eastern Italian region of Le Marche, claimed to have no idea she was pregnant when she was rushed to hospital in agony, after which she gave birth.
The 31-year-old nun said she had no idea that she was pregnant and thought her labour pains were just “stomach cramps”.An ambulance was called after the pregnant nun collapsed in the nunnery.
Local media refused to name the nun, who is currently recovering in Bartolomeo Eustachio Hospital in San Severino with her sisters reportedly at her bedside.The newborn baby boy is in good health but will stay in hospital for medical checks.
The mother’s convent has yet to issue a statement but reports suggest the sisters have shown interest in taking charge of the baby, L’Unione Sarda reported.

 Sitting at the front of class four in her school uniform, Priscilla Sitienei listens intently while she writes the English names of animals in her notebook.

She joined Leaders Vision Preparatory School five years ago and has also served her village of Ndalat in the Rift Valley as a midwife for the last 65 years.

Affectionately known as “Gogo”, which means grandmother in the local Kalenjin language, she says at 90 she is finally learning to read and write – an opportunity she never had as a child.

“I’d like to be able to read the Bible; I also want to inspire children to get an education.

“Too many older children are not in school. They even have children themselves.”

Gogo says she confronts children who are not in school and asks them why.

“They tell me they are too old,” she says, “I tell them, ‘Well I am at school and so should you.’

“I see children who are lost, children who are without fathers, just going round and round, hopeless. I want to inspire them to go to school.”

This Nonsense Must Stop: Presidency Reacts To Attack On Jonathan

The presidency has reacted to the attacks on the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Katsina and Bauchi states, by supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC). It cautioned the opposition party to rein in its supporters.
In a statement titled “This nonsense must stop”, Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Prof Rufai Ahmed Alkali, said that the action of APC supporters is a negation of the non-violence peace pact signed recently in Abuja by all the presidential candidates.
“When the peace pact by the Major Political Parties participating in the 2015 General Elections was signed, Nigerians heaved a great sigh of relief in the belief that the tensions stocked up in the buildup to the campaigns will subside.
“President Goodluck Jonathan who is also the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) blazed the trail in appending his signature to the historic document. General Muhammadu Buhari and leaders of other parties also signed, pledging a violence free electioneering process and rejection of uncouth and inciting language,” Alkali said.
He added: “Unfortunately, while President Jonathan and the PDP have remained bound by the letters and spirit of the peace pact, supporters of the APC candidate has had a field day, violating all the terms of the pact and engaging in violence even on the person and entourage of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“The successive incidents in Katsina and Bauchi States where irate youth supporters of the APC unleashed a reign of terror on the convoy of the President is an ominous wind that blows no one any good,” the statement said.
